The Object Image Gallery opened in Park
Slope, Brooklyn, New York in January 2000. The gallery, at 91 Fifth
Avenue, was run by owner/director Bob Weiss for eight years. During that
time the gallery held eight to ten exhibitions a year of one person and
group shows. It also served the community by holding concerts, book
signings and readings and providing a place for community meetings. In
summer 2009, it closed at this location and presently functions as an
on-line gallery; the gallery also sets up visits to gallery artists’
studios and group shows at other locations. It continues to show quality
paintings, drawings and prints by artists from around the world and has
begun to specialize in urban scenes especially scenes of Brooklyn.
