The art form of the Still Life comes alive in a show at the Object Image Gallery called Still Life Images. The show features the paintings of Peter Malone and the drawings and etchings of Gregory Paquette. Both artists teach at Kingsborough Community College and have extensive exhibition records. Paquette, a long time Brooklyn resident, has his work in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chicago Art Institute and the Arkansas Art Center. Paquette has shown at the Object Image for five years while Mr. Malone is a first time exhibitor at the gallery. The show will also include the work of Brooklyn artists Nan Carey, Thomas Hagen, Margaret Wolf, Marilyn Patrizio, Ed Leibstone and Janet Yake.. In the oils, watercolors, pastels and etchings of these artists everyday objects are presented in a way that makes the viewer feel he is seeing the commonplace for the first time.
